The cultural flax (Linum usitatissimum) is a species of plants such as flax (Linum).

Flax seeds are used for medicinal purposes since ancient times – for the treatment of respiratory diseases, eye infections, colds, flu, fever, rheumatism, gout, and constipation.

Flax Seeds are rich in fiber, Omega-3 fatty acids vitamin E, vitamins of the group B, calcium, magnesium, selenium and phosphorus.

Cooking tips

The recommended daily dose is a spoon. To learn better the beneficial substances contained in flax seeds, it’s better to grind the seeds in a coffee grinder or blender. You can add them to a salad, juice or yoghurt. It is used as an additive to flour or decoration for the pasta.
