Quinoa is a grain-like crop, cultivated approximately 4000 years ago in the Andes. Today it is grown in a traditional manner, known for centuries. It is rich in proteins and contains essential amino acids, potassium, and calcium.
Quinoa is easily boiled for 15-20 minutes in a ratio of 1 part quinoa to two parts liquid. It is suitable for vegetarian dishes, as well as for side dishes to meat or fish.
